Delete account

You can delete your Aura Makeup AI account at any time. Deleting it removes your face photos, analysis results and all personalisation settings. This page covers the two ways to do it, exactly what gets deleted, and one important thing people often miss.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription

Subscriptions are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and we cannot cancel them for you. If you have a paid subscription, please cancel it in the store first, then delete your account — otherwise the store will keep charging you.

iOS — Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → Aura Makeup AI → Cancel Subscription

Android — Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Aura Makeup AI → Cancel

Delete in the app (recommended)

If Aura Makeup AI is still on your phone this is the fastest route — usually done within a few minutes.

    Open the app and sign in

    Sign in with the account you want deleted so we can confirm the request is yours.

    Go to Settings

    Open your profile from the bottom tab bar, then tap Settings at the top right.

    Choose “Delete account”

    It sits in the account section at the bottom of Settings.

    Read the notice and confirm

    The app lists what will be deleted and asks you to confirm once more. After that it cannot be undone.

Already removed the app? Request by email

If you have already deleted the app from your phone, or cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email. Please write from the email address you registered with so we can verify your identity.

Include in your email

  • “Account deletion request” in the subject line
  • the email address you registered with
  • The sign-in method you used (Email / Apple / Google)

We process requests within 7 business days and confirm by email, and in any case within the period your local law requires (usually 30 days). To prevent accidental deletion we may send a confirmation email and ask you to reply.

What gets deleted

Permanently deleted

  • Account details and sign-in credentials
  • Every face photo you uploaded
  • Analysis results and the ten-feature data
  • Preferences and your allergen list
  • Saved looks and generated tutorial history
  • Result photos and notes you uploaded

Retained by law

  • Transaction and invoice records (required by tax and accounting law; retention period per local regulation)
  • Anonymous aggregate statistics that cannot identify an individual
  • The minimum records needed for an ongoing dispute or abuse investigation

The retained items above contain no facial images or facial feature data whatsoever.

Once you confirm, we remove your personal data from production within 30 days; encrypted backup copies are cleared with backup rotation within 90 days at most. Deletion cannot be undone and previous analysis results or saved looks cannot be restored.

Don’t want to delete everything? Other options

  • Delete just the photos.Remove a single photo and its analysis in the app; your account and saved looks stay.
  • Just cancel the subscription.Cancel in the store and your account moves to the free tier with your data intact.
  • Export your data first.If you want a record before deleting, email privacy@auramakeup.org to request a copy of your data.
